Friday good

Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.

Proverbs 14:26

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Isaiah 26: 3

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

James 3:18

Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.

Titus 2;2

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had

Romans 15:5

At a dog park on a pleasant Friday morning the old and the young, large and the small, the playful and the even-tempered socialize. The same can be said for their dogs. Chitchat about playful dogs, a lady offering cupcakes -followed by one particular mutt, exceedingly hopeful that he might share in one, and one dog patiently and repeatedly discouraging Dexter and Comet’s overtures made for a good Friday. That this day is for some, a day of remembrance for a death two millennia ago, is not lost on me, as I have learned it was in exchange for the life, I have led for 25 years. Whether others will seek to learn why the day is “Good” is not assured, though I am prepared to help others to take up their Cross and follow Him.

After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities

Isaiah 53:11
