Skin Tumor (Histiocytoma) in Dogs | petMD

One of the oddest features I needed to get used to, when Comet became part of the household were a couple of skin tags under his coat.   The first weekend he was with us,  I was a little unnerved thinking a large bloated tick had fastened itself to our new family member.    At his first veterinary checkup post-adoption,  our vet set my concerns to rest.  In this case these were benign growths which affects some breeds.

I noted that Dexter also has one.    None of these have raised alarm, though we still have the veterinarian advise us when they go in for a checkup.
