When my third step-son found his own place to live, albeit at the urging of his mother, I was satisfied that he had grown up. After all, education completed, job in the career field gained, and a car in his own name should have been enough credentials. Mom didn’t want to rush it for the first few years of “adulthood”. But it has turned out for the best throwing the “baby” out with the bath water.
