gave a dog a bone

This old man, he played one,
He played knick knack on my thumb.
With a knick knack, paddy whack,
Give a dog a bone.
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played two,
He played knick knack on my shoe.
With a knick knack, paddy whack,
Give a dog a bone.
This old man came rolling home.

Dogs keep no record of wrongs.  They don’t begrudge me that I went to hang out with a buddy of mine at breakfast on Friday morning, instead of walking around the block with them.  Even if they were disappointed they got over it.

It was funny how going the opposite direction and using back roads, and enjoying good conversation and  breakfast at the time of worst commuter traffic on Friday,  only delayed my usual arrival at my job by a half hour.  And being a Friday, a third into the fiscal Quarter,  I was relatively certain that my tasks would not pile up in the afternoon.  Breakfast with no regrets.

So, this Ol’ Man, came rollin’ home.   And gave his dogs a bone (each). Comet_walk_first20171223_150433.jpg
