Weekends are made for movies, food, fun, and family. That last, I admit to being more selective as to which “family” I hang out with; as an old dog, I have the opportunity now to enjoy spending time with whom I choose.
Sometimes it is my adult kids, our church Singles ministry, or the young married members. But when you can join peers, our friends who actually grew up with the same movies, music and pop-culture, you don’t have to explain much when quoting one-liners and the whistled movie themes from the 1980s.
